Barbering and Style: Classification of Instructional Program (CIP 12.0402)

The curriculum involves 1080 hours to satisfy the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico requirements. It also includes 270 course prep hours to be completed outside the classroom. The program includes extensive instruction and practical experience in men’s cutting, color, texture, men’s grooming, customer service, personal appearance and hygiene, personal motivation and development, retail skills, guest record-keeping, and business ethics, sanitation, state laws and regulations, salon-type administration, and job interviewing.

Students are prepared to be entry-level barber.
